Hotel Gianni Franzi

The view was perfection.

The walk up the stairs was no joke. Also, even though there was sign, people kept coming up to our deck to take photos. They were right outside our door forcing us to close the curtains…blocking our view.

La posizione stupenda, la vista magnifica dalla camera e la colazione servita praticamente a picco sul mare.. qualcosa di assolutamente indescrivibile.

Visto il prezzo del soggiorno avrei gradito almeno una bottiglietta di acqua in camera, gli asciugamani per il bidet (forniti solo asciugamsno per il viso e telo doccia) e un piccolo kit magari con una cuffia. Le camere sono belle ma la doccia è fuori dal bagno e non totalmente chiusa e inoltre la porta del bagno è di vetro trasparente non consentendo alcun tipo di privacy. La mattina odore sgradevole dagli scarichi.

The steps are not great, but that’s the nature of the area.

The room is up several flights of stairs but the reward for climbing them was an excellent panoramic view of the Ligurian Sea. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and served on the Gianni Franzi Deck, a small dining area with that same great view. We actually ate 2 lunches at the Deck. The pesto gnocchi was some of the best we've tasted. The chef came out to talk with us and was very engaging. The best part was the Gianni Franzi deck was away from all the tourist activity - it's a hidden gem! The reception area for check-in was at the main restaurant's bar which we had a little trouble finding even though it was right there in the piazza. The staff was very accommodating on storing our bags and letting us check in early.
