We chose this new high rise Apartment with parking, because of its location, so close to Surfers Paradise, it was an easy walk to the tram, surf beach and Budd’s Beach, local shops and HOTA, for three nights. Some teething problems were expected, and experienced, like limited lifts, pool area being closed, and several work teams still on site 16 October 2026. However, our high rise apartment with ocean and river views met our expectations. (We were lucky to have a two bedroom apartment for 2). Anticipate once the Chevron One Apartment block is finished, our rating would be higher.

We did feel the living room and bedrooms were compact, in our apartment, but the bathrooms a good size, given stays in other apartments on the Gold Coast. Maybe some additional platters, salad bowls and S&P shakers, would be desirable, particularly for longer stays.

For the amount of people that will be staying at the property there’s nowhere near enough pool area, especially the outdoor pool. There were 6 chairs for 39 stories of building. The indoor pool was advertised as heated but it was ice cold so the only places for children to comfortably swim were the little spa pools. The cleaners only came once on day 3 out of 13 nights, so it was very hard to keep clean and keep up with towels needed for a family of 4. No dryer so you couldn’t efficiently wash and dry your towels. No vacuum so even if the cleaners didn’t come, you couldn’t clean it yourself other than with a dustpan which isn’t enough for a family of 4. One bedroom was too small to be able to close the door with so we had to move the lamp out of the room, push the bed over to be able to close the bedroom door. There was often only 1 lift working which is absolutely crazy for 39 floors. Longest we waited was 20 minutes for a lift. There was another lift that could have been used but just wasn’t utilised. The cleaners and staff could have used the 4th builders lift. But they used the one and only lift that was working. So that was a logistical nightmare
