Alice’s flat is in a brilliant location on Giudecca, a peaceful island with everything you need close by. There are plenty of useful places within easy reach, including supermarkets, chemists and cafés, which isn’t always the case in the more touristy parts of Venice. It’s just one vaporetto stop to the Accademia area and only three stops to St Mark’s Square. The transport links are really handy and run throughout the night. I was travelling on my own and always felt completely safe. The flat was spotless and, from the sofa, I could enjoy a lovely glimpse of the lagoon. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful: they explained clearly how to get around Venice and were always available by phone if I needed anything. I would definitely stay here again!
