Kihei is useful for supplies and casual restaurants, while Wailea and Makena offer a scenic drive south when you want a bigger beach outing. The neighborhood has an easygoing, car-friendly rhythm that suits guests who value practical beach access and a quieter place to reset.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
