Villa Montemelino is a private estate in the heart of Umbria, not far from Perugia and Lake Trasimeno and surrounded by our own centuries-old olive grove. When you book here, you have the entire villa to yourselves — up to 10 guests, no shared spaces, no other guests. Just your group, your rhythm, and one of the most quietly beautiful landscapes in Italy.

We are olive oil producers. Our grove wraps around the property — hundreds of trees, silver-green in every season. Guests are welcome to join a guided oil tasting, learning to read the colour, aroma and flavour of an oil that comes from this exact piece of land.

The villa sleeps up to 10 and is fully equipped for independent stays. Inside, you'll find generous living spaces, a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering, multiple bathrooms, and two antique stone fireplaces that makes autumn and spring evenings particularly special. The private garden and pool are yours to use freely throughout your stay. The private pool open throughout the summer months (from June to September). The setting is quiet — deliberately so. This is a place designed for people who want to rest, reconnect, and move at their own pace. Parking is available on site.

Beyond the property, Umbria reveals itself generously. CAI-marked trekking trails begin nearby, winding through forests and hilltop villages. Bikes and e-bikes can be hired locally. Horse riding excursions are available for all levels. Golf courses, tennis and padel courts are a short drive away.

And then there is Lake Trasimeno — the largest lake in central Italy — just minutes from the villa, with sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and open water swimming in summer.

For guests who want to go deeper into the land itself, we offer foraging walks through the estate and surrounding countryside, led by someone who knows every plant and every season. Private Pilates sessions with an expert physiotherapist are also available on request — held on the property, tailored entirely to you.

Villa Montemelino has no restaurant and no catering service. What it has is a fully equipped kitchen, a table with a view, and a region full of producers, markets and trattorias worth discovering. We are happy to point you in the right direction.
