The room was clean and some biscuits, coffee, tea and water bottles were provided as well as a kettle. The shared bathroom was a very short distance away in the corridor. The bathroom was nice and big with an electric shower.
The host did offer transport to and from the Shrine for a fee which we accepted. They also offered to drive us to the airport but I had already arranged for the driver who dropped us to pick us up.
No breakfast in a location that is 2km away from the few shops! The room had too many pictures of various sizes all over the walls ... not something that I fancy. There were various sounds like beeps and so on occasionally coming from adjacent rooms. The mattress is rather hard I think because I woke up every morning with an aching back. There was a lack of privacy as there was no attached bathroom and getting to the bathroom meant walking through a common area. The hosts were nice but being restricted to one room also did not make us feel very comfortable.

Ballyhowly was do peaceful and quiet. We, too, live in the country, so we felt very much at home.
Our only problem, had nothing to do with our accommodation. Finding a place to eat dinner that evening and breakfast the next morning were our challenges.
