Exposed stonework and timber beams give this characterful retreat a distinctly rustic feel, complemented by tiled floors, traditional furnishings and a wooden staircase rising beside the living space. The dining table and comfortable seating form an intimate setting for slow breakfasts and relaxed evenings, while a fireplace adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Outside, a private area offers space for meals in the fresh air or a quiet pause after sightseeing. La Rochelle brings plenty of variety to days beyond the house: wander around the historic Old Port, browse the pedestrian streets and markets, or discover the city’s maritime heritage and renowned aquarium. Beaches and coastal cycling routes invite time outdoors, while boat trips open up another perspective on the Atlantic coast. Île de Ré and Île d’Aix are rewarding excursion options, combining seaside landscapes, villages and a slower island rhythm.
