Summary:
Welcome to the Barn on Hemlock Hill!
Located in Chatt Valley just south of Downtown Chattanooga in the beautiful countryside of North Georgia. Includes a NEWLY added 4 person hot tub! The Barn offers views of Lookout Mtn and is a great place to rest, relax, and enjoy the 4 acres the property sits on. This home is a 15 minute drive from the adorable town of Saint Elmo and several nearby attractions like Ruby Falls, the Incline Railway, and Rock City. We would love to host you!
The Space:
This unique stay sleeps 4 people and has one full bathroom. There is 1 bedroom downstairs that has a queen bed and access to a quiet outdoor seating area. In the common space upstairs there is a living room with a large smart TV, a fully stocked kitchen, a full bathroom, and a queen bed. The fully stocked kitchen includes all plate-ware, cups, mugs, bowls, silverware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. There is a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave. There is no dishwasher. Lastly, there is a drip coffee maker with Folgers medium roast coffee provided.
This property is dog friendly! 2 dogs MAX!
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the whole barn.
Getting Around:
Uber and Lyft are not always reliable in the Chattanooga area, so we recommend having a vehicle to fully enjoy everything the city has to offer.
Other Things to Note:
1. The main home on the property is also an Airbnb. You will have your own private entrance with a door code and other guests staying in the main home will not be have access to the barn.
2. There is an “employees only” door located beneath the barn apartment we use for property supplies - you may see cleaners or members of our team discreetly coming in & out during your stay!
3. There is a fire pit below the deck. You will need to bring your own camping chairs and wood for the fire pit.
4. The steep driveway leading up to the property is fully paved! It is shared with the main house and there are two areas on the driveway that allow you to pull off if needed.
5. If you would like to use the hot tub you will need to bring your own hot tub towels!
HOT TUB:
Please advise!! Hot tub maintenance is very important and it’s something that we take very seriously in between guest reservations. If the hot tub has to be dumped for sanitary and health safety reasons on a turnover day when the property is booked back to back, it may take 8-12 hours for it to reach high temps. We do the best we can to be proactive with this but ultimately it is out of our control to make the hot tub heat up faster. Health and safety for our guests is very important to us.
LADY BUGS:
Most, if not all, homes in our area have lady bugs. To stay ahead of this we are on preventative monthly pest control maintenance for all of our properties. Unfortunately they are still VERY hard to get rid of! Thankfully, they are harmless! But please know you will most likely see ladybugs in the home during your stay.
Weather and Outages!
As advertised, there will be no refunds in the unlikely circumstance that there is a power outage during your stay or if the weather is not cooperating. We do not have any control over the weather or outages caused by nature! We highly suggest you purchase travel insurance to be preventative in case something happens and you need to cancel.
Attractions:
Incline Railway - 15 minute drive
Ruby Falls and Rock City - 20 minutes away
Aquarium - 20 minutes away
Interaction with Guests:
We are available if the guest has any questions, but we like to give our guests their own space.

Home was very clean. Enjoyed the use of the hot tub. The home was very close to a lot of the adventures we wanted to do - Rock City, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, etc. The area is filled with various State Parks that you can drive to - some close by and some a couple of hours away. It was close to town and restaurants. Enjoyed our stay there.

The cabin was very clean and welcoming. The area was very nice. The directions to get to the cabin was confusing. The actual address 167 W Schmitt worked better than the instructions given to put in 165 W Schmitt. The upstairs air conditioning did not work very correctly, and there was no instructions on how to use the remote. We had to put a fan at the bottom of the stairs down stairs to pull cool air up on the first day we checked in for our stay. The hot tub was very nice. The house right in front of the cabin had people staying in it, and it was kinda creepy they could watch us from the window on the end of the house facing the hot tub. The bed upstairs was comfortable. The bed downstairs was not. The mattress rolls you to the middle of the bed in a permanent slope and was not so good on our backs. The shower curtain was very annoying to deal with and the inside liner did not look clean. Hope the feedback helps with future VRBO stays. The cabin was very clean and we loved the front porch. My husband said corn hole boards would have made it even better :)
