Welcome to Gee’s Getaway, a peaceful mountain retreat just 12 minutes from downtown Boone. This inviting 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin offers the perfect blend of comfort, privacy, and convenience for families, couples, and friends. Relax on the spacious wrap-around deck, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and unwind in a serene setting surrounded by nature. Just a short drive from hiking, dining, shopping, Appalachian State University, and year-round High Country adventures.

As the owner of Fox Ridge Retreats, I am readily available if you need anything during your stay. My goal is to provide a smooth, enjoyable experience while also giving guests plenty of privacy to relax and enjoy the mountains.

Adventure and relaxation are right around the corner! Just 12 minutes from downtown Boone, you'll find local restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, unique shops, live music, and Appalachian State University. Spend your days exploring scenic hiking trails, chasing waterfalls, or enjoying the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In the winter, skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing are only about 20 minutes away. Whether you're looking for outdoor adventures, great food, shopping, or a cozy mountain escape, there's something for everyone to enjoy.



During the winter months, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to drive an AWD or 4WD vehicle.

***4WD or AWD is advised in snowy/icy conditions.

The mountains are certainly beautiful on a snowy day BUT do not let your guard down. When temperatures hit freezing, black ice can be very hard to detect and dangerous.

We do salt the drive, as well as the porch BUT please be aware black ice can form quickly and create dangerous conditions.

Please walk slowly and with caution on the porches!

Please be prepared for wintery weather!

Cozy up by the gas fireplace—no wood or fire-starting required. Please enjoy responsibly and turn it off when not in use.

Traveling with family or friends? We manage two additional cabins nearby! Two of the cabins are located right beside each other, and Gee’s Getaway is within walking distance, making it a great option for larger groups who want to stay close while still enjoying their own space and privacy.
