I’ve always felt this flat has a very easy, homely warmth to it. It’s not a showy space, and that’s part of its charm — it feels calm, lived-in and comfortable, with wooden floors, soft light, books on the shelves and little details that make it feel like a real London home rather than somewhere staged.

The living room is the heart of the flat. It’s a lovely place to come back to after a day out in the city, with a comfortable sofa, TV, reading chair and a small desk area if you need to catch up on work. Morning light comes through the windows, the wooden floors add warmth, and the room has that settled feeling that makes it easy to sit down, breathe out and feel at home.

The kitchen has a proper everyday feel, which I love. It’s well equipped with a gas hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, kettle, toaster and the essentials you need for cooking at home. Whether you’re making breakfast before heading out, preparing coffee before work, or putting together a quiet dinner after a long day, it’s a practical and welcoming space to use.

The bedroom is calm and restful, with a comfortable bed, soft tones and simple details that help the room feel peaceful. It’s not overdone, but it has everything you need for a good night’s sleep and a quiet place to unwind at the end of the day.

The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, classic white tiles and a bright, practical layout. It’s fresh, straightforward and easy to use during your stay.

The location is one of the real strengths of the flat. Margery Street places you in a very useful pocket of central London, close to Bloomsbury, Clerkenwell, King’s Cross and Farringdon. You’re well placed for cafés, restaurants, shops, museums, garden squares, work connections and excellent transport links, while still having a comfortable home to return to when you want to slow down.

This is a lovely base for solo travellers, couples or professionals who want a homely one-bedroom flat in central London — warm, practical and easy to settle into, with some of the city’s best-connected neighbourhoods close by.

The building does have a lift, which is helpful when arriving with luggage, although it can be a little temperamental at times. If that happens, the stairs are usually the most reliable option. And as this is a central London location, you may hear some normal city sound from time to time, but the flat still gives you a comfortable place to come back to after a day out.

You have access to the entire property with no disruptions. Should a maintenance query occur, you will be asked permission first before we access the property to carry out a repair.

Check-in & Check-out

Check-in is from 3 pm, and check-out is by 11 am. If you’d like to arrive a little earlier or leave a little later, please let us know in advance. We’ll always try to help where we can, though this is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.

Please do make sure you’re ready to check out on time, as our cleaning team often arrives promptly to prepare the home for the next guests. Unauthorised early arrivals or late check-outs are charged at £20 per half hour.

Lift

The building does have a lift, which can be helpful when arriving with luggage. Please note it can be a little temperamental at times, so the stairs are often the most reliable option.

Keys

We’ll send clear instructions before check-out on where to leave the keys. Please follow these carefully, as missing a step can delay the cleaning team and affect the next guests arriving.

A £50 fee applies if keys are not returned correctly. Lost keys requiring lock replacement will incur a £100 charge. If you are locked out and we need to attend the property, there is a £60 call-out fee. Please keep the keys safe during your stay.

Parking

There is no parking available at the property. There are many cost-efficient ways to find a parking space online or with the apps:

PLEASE NOTE, if hiring a Zip Car, parking is not included in their charges; therefore, it must also be purchased in addition to the use of the car.

Smoking

This is a strictly non-smoking home. A £200 fee will apply if smoking is detected.

Extra Guests & Noise

This is a peaceful residential building, so we kindly ask that you keep noise to a respectful level and do not host parties or play loud music.

Only guests included on the booking are permitted to stay, unless agreed with us in advance. Breaching either rule may result in a £250 fine.

Lost Property

Please have a good look around before you leave. Forgotten items are handled by a third-party courier, who charges a minimum of £25 per item, plus delivery costs.

Linen for Longer Stays

For stays of 21 nights or more, our professional linen service requires a refresh every 21 days.

You can choose either a fresh linen delivery, or to rehire the current set, which we’ll collect after check-out. Both options are billed the same.

This home is professionally managed by Pass the Keys®, offering thoughtful hospitality in unique homes.

You’ll have fresh linen, quality toiletries, 24/7 guest support and a dedicated local team on hand throughout your stay. The property has also been personally inspected and approved to meet our Property Readiness Standard.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
