Welcome to our amazing ocean view condo...Kauai Kailani 305! Kauai Kailani is an ocean front condominium that has been fully renovated with high end, stylish boutique finishes. It has two pools--one ocean front and one behind the garden building. There is free wifi, smart TV's and parking (with a dedicated parking spot for our condo). This all comes with NO resort fees. We are a top floor unit so the view is breathtaking from the moment you walk in. There is an elevator in this building so getting up to our unit is effortless. There is usually a lovely cross breeze that cools the condo to a lovely temperature, but for the few days that it becomes hotter or more humid that ususal, it is fully air conditioned in both the living room and the master bedroom! There is also a washer/dryer unit in the condo.
We have a full kitchen with all of the kitchen essentials, so you can cook as much (or as little as you want). There are also BBQ grills close to the condo.for the fresh catch of the day. There is a recreation room on the first floor near the BBQ area, where you can hang out or play a game of ping-pong.
We have a master bedroom with a comfortable king sized bed. Across the hall is a good sized bathroom with a updated walk in shower. There is also a washer/dryer in the bathroom. There is a second den area where there is a queen sized bed. Shoji doors close to provide privacy for the den area. There are also full closets in both the master and the den, and an additional desk area in the den.
We provide beach toys--chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and towels, to make your trips to the beach comfortable and enjoyable.
There is a major resort--Waipouli--right next door with a full restaurant and bar. We share a beach with them. Safeway, Ross, and many little restaurants and bars are directly across the street. It is so convenient to be able to run over there and grab lunch or a few groceries. There is also an amazing bike/walking path that starts a block from the condo, and goes 8 miles to a bluff where you can see whales in the winter. The bike rental place is a short walk from our condo.
The location for island exploring is perfect. You can head north toward Princeville, for amazing golf, or snorkeling or lunch and some kayaking at Hanalei Bay. Or, you can head toward Poipu to see the monk seals and turtles sun themselves, while you swim in crystal clear water, or head up to the breathtaking Waimea Canyon for day of cooler air and lots of roosters!

Great location to travel to all parts of the island. Morning sunrises we’re amazing. While very close to the Safeway you would never know it. Boogie boards, beach towels and chairs were supplied. Super comfortable beds as well. We loved it!

Very quiet location even though VRBO was only a block from a shopping center with a Safeway. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and just relaxing as we enjoyed the view of the ocean. We liked the VRBO very much and the queen bed in the second sleeping area was the most comfortable bed I have slept on! It was perfect for my cousin and me

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. The ocean view was beautiful. The location was great - close to the ocean, shops and airport. It was comfortable for four adults, and we found everything we needed (coffee maker, dishes, towels, etc.) at the condo.

Pros - the location is great if you want to visit the north and south shore. The balcony view of the ocean is great. It is shaded all day as it faces northeast. You see/hear the waves crashing. Amazing! It is very close to the long walking trail that is next to the ocean which is a great place for a morning run/walk/bike. Having laundry in the unit is awesome. If they added a small set of Rubbermaid containers for leftovers and beach trips, the kitchen would be well equipped (there was literally not a single storage container provided and we rent a condo (vs hotel) so we can cook). They had pool noodles and Tommy Bahama beach chairs which were great.
Cons - The place needs a deep clean and a coat of paint. When we arrived there was a dirty blue sweatshirt laying on the bed and toothpaste splatter on the bathroom backsplash. The bathroom baseboards and corners of the floor were filthy and the two bathroom rugs were so dirty they were not suitable for goodwill donation so I moved them to a corner where I wouldn’t have to walk on them. The glass top stove was greasy and dirty on arrival. The rug in the kitchen and smaller bedroom seemed clean and new-ish but the rug in the living room was so filthy we rolled it up so we wouldn’t have to walk on it and the carpet in the bigger bedroom was so stained and dirty feeling that I wore sandals in the room.
Additionally, there was only a single towel bar above the toilet and it didn’t fit two bath towels. We placed our towels on hangers from the closet and hung the hangers from the shower rod. It worked, but it’d be so easy to add a few towel hooks in the bathroom. The main bedroom doesn’t have a dresser or even a table or chair for you to put your clothes or suitcases on. We moved the only chair in the unit from a little desk area in the smaller room to the bigger room’s closet so we didn’t have to bend over to get things out of our suitcase on the floor.
There was an issue with parking starting the first night. I phoned the host around 10 pm. She did not respond which I understood due to the time. A few days later she reached out to see how things were and I told her we were having problems with parking. She suggested we put a sign in our car indicating we were using the correct spot. When the problem persisted I called her again and she did resolve the issue with management.
