Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa Downtown

Great views of the city and Parliment Hill. Parking at the hotel and easy to walk into old town and capital sites. Next to Museum of Canada.

All was good.

The staffs are very friendly specially the receptionist but we asked 4 times for microwave in our room and never got it. The location is very good too if you want a budget friendly stay when going to downtown Ottawa. I think it's generally safe and I like the fact that we saw 70%-75% of the guest are families. The pool is saltwater(not heated) and deep(6ft)

First of all the place and the facilities are not the cleanest and it's a little old too. The bed is comfortable and clean but the carpet in our room is very dirty. 2nd, the parking can be a nightmare depending on the days you will be there but the staffs are very helpful. 3rd, Some customers definitely smokes in their room even if it's says no smoking so bring your air sprays if you're really sensitive to the smell of it. 4th, The elevator is small and the hallways are narrow and very dim. 5th, Soundproofing ain't the best specially if you're walking at the hallway you can hear people inside their rooms

Staff were superb. The hotel had a few minor issues like not making up the room, but as soon as I mentioned it, it was done straight away. The manager was really helpful. A good place to stay.

Some of the rooms are a little tired

Large garbage bag from house keeping left outside our room (end of the hallway) told reception and they said it would be moved but was left for another day.
