location was centralized
we never did get hot water in the shower, there was a tick somewhere in the room as it ended up on my partner, the pool area had about 10 unsupervised small children screaming and running around with no parent. they had their shoes in the hot tub, they were throwing things into the pool, one child was totally naked, I had anxiety that someone was going to drown. The same kids were running around in the weight room. I informed the front desk but the girl was young and overwhelmed. The kids were from some kind of party in the small boardroom. We ended up leaving the pool. When we returned there was a couple using it as their own personal spa area- my suggestion is for the staff to check the cameras more frequently. It was also disappointing that the restaurant closed before 8. After dealing with those kids, we really wanted a drink at the bar.

Although there's a Smitty's restaurant in building, perhaps offer complimentary water or coffee for guests at front desk. Some folks aren't always ready for the restaurant.

The room I ordered wasn't available when I showed up to the hotel, the swimming pool was shut down.

I was VERY FRUSTRATED with what I would say was misleading advertising. When I searched for a hotel my main filter was that breakfast was INCLUDED. In every other time I have had this as a request, it did not mean that for an EXTRA price I could have breakfast included - how is this breakfast included, I could just as well have bought my own breakfast (and cheaper too!) I did not think that I would have double check what you meant by "breakfast included". As I said this was very frustrating, as it's my top filter. Speaking with the help line, it took 4 agents to help me, and after all that they did not. Sydrick helped me with a mistake I made, and clarified my name, but when I explained about the "breakfast included" that seemed to be passed by (I can't remember how that conversation went), and I assumed someone would be phoning me back. I waited for some time then phoned again. Faye hung up/disconnected with me. Ian also hung up/disconnected with me. I finally spoke with Anna who, while trying to help, just kept insisting that breakfast was included with the higher priced room (our room was $139, the "breakfast included" room was $159) - again how does this make sense!?! I get the difference, but it should not be listed as a "breakfast included" filter. When she finally spoke with a manager, I was offered $30 off my next booking - are you kidding me - why would I book with you when I don't trust the filters I plug in? (then you might as well have said "pool included" and by that you meant, for a $20 taxi ride you'll direct me to the local pool). I spoke with Anna for 52 minutes when she said she would transfer me to a manager, at
57 minutes my line was cut off!!!!!! I did not speak with any one after that, as I had already wasted an hour and a half and I was very upset.

Rooms were comfy and quiet
The breakfast deal you have with Smittys is very odd. Smittys blames the hotel. The hotel blames Smittys. There is NO reason hotel guest that are given the breakfast coupon should have to eat in their rooms. Not ideal and not clear upon booking.

The pool hours were great! Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Rooms were quiet and we did not hear people in the hallway or above us. Beds were comfy, and we had the option of pillow choice.
I was disappointed there was not continental breakfast provided and that it would be an additional cost to eat at restaurant on premise. We stayed 2 nights, there was no housekeeping provided to refill coffee or to replace towels. Upon entering room, where we were a family of 4 there was only 2 sets of towels provided. Elevator needed maintenance as it was a very rough and nosey ride.

not a bad location
for the cost the property requires some serious TLC. shower was all rusted up, towel hanger barely hanging on the wall.

Location was good, it was on the highway itself. Parking was easy
Its a long list. The most important point is, room was extremely unhygienic. My daughter started coughing when she used study table and couch. It was extremely dusty and dirty. By morning all of us where having soar throat because we were inhaling dirt whole night. It was horrible.. not expect it from Holiday-In brand. I informed house keeping and front desk.. all they said was Sorry
Secondly, I paid for breakfast, room was booked for 3 persons, I received a voucher for 2 people, plus that has only 3 options.. I cannot amend anything in those 3 options.. which is very bad experience on top of what I mentioned earlier.. so I have to buy for another breakfast for my daughter again. Feels like cheated..
Over all horrible experience. Next time, I will think hard before I choose Holiday-Inn

The wifi could've been a bit better but other than that I was happy
