The hotel is right in the heart of Manhattan, on Times Square and 7th Avenue, at the beginning of Broadway. The city is buzzing around you 24/7, yet this does not affect the quality of rest at all — my room was quiet, comfortable and welcoming. Housekeeping was excellent and attentive, and the staff throughout the hotel — both at reception and in housekeeping — were consistently kind, responsive and genuinely willing to help, whether with practical advice, recommendations or small requests. A kettle for boiling water was provided upon request. I would especially like to mention the young gentleman at reception who checked me in on the evening of 22 September and kindly helped me with my luggage and arranged a kettle for my room. I am also very grateful to the lady at reception who was on duty on the morning of 23 September. As this was my first visit to New York, she explained very clearly and patiently how to get where I needed to go. What touched me particularly was that when I returned that evening, she remembered me and asked how everything had gone. It was such a small gesture, but an exceptionally warm and human one. I only regret that I did not ask her name. And finally, a special thank you to Gabrielle from housekeeping: if you happen to read this, I am sending you my warmest regards and sincere thanks for your kindness and for helping me with my luggage on the day of my departure. A wonderful stay in an exceptional location, made even better by genuinely caring people.

Our stay was wonderful because the rooms were clean & comfortable & the staff were amazing. Checking in was easy with very pleasant staff giving a great first impression & always ready to greet you & offer advice on things to do & see. Sylvia in the Bow Tie bar was fantastic & even arranged for a portion of cake to be brought to our table with a rendition of Happy Birthday to you when she learned we were celebrating my granddaughter’s 21st birthday. All of the staff at the bar were exceptional & not because we are great drinkers but we popped in after a long day & evening out & about. We could not recommend this hotel highly enough & it helped make our celebration even more special.

The amount of the accommodation was charged several times on my debit card!! Breakfast is not free! The water is left in the room is paid!
