Pendray Inn and Tea House

We stayed in the Belleville House adjacent to the Pendrey. It had a complete remodel earlier this year and is gorgeous. Decor felt like a simpler, less fussy version of Victorian aesthetic and the bed and pillows were heavenly. The grounds were charming and perfectly situated to access all the harbor sites and Beacon Hill. The staff were friendly and true professionals. Thank you Ashwyn, Meagan, and Paloma!

The bathroom is tiny due to how the historic structure is designed. Not the fault of the inn, but it is on the small size. This could be a deal breaker for some people if they need a bit of room. There are speakers piping sad covers of pop and rock songs beginning early am and well into the evening. It was loud enough to hear in our room (17), and all had a bland sad feel. Kindly suggest turning the volume down and using a different channel such as nature sounds or “spa” sounds.

Location

The entire experience was perfection. Romantic updated room in Bellevue. Breakfast was extra special. Felt like royalty! The staff went above and beyond to be certain we were taken well care of.

Great location, easy to walk to downtown. The staff were excellent and acknowledged me by name by the second day. The breakfasts were amazing; the presentation was fantastic and the rooms where breakfast are served are lovely. The Guest Services Manager, Ashton Ashok, was incredible; he took the time to get to know me, why I was there and gave me a tour of some rooms for future stays.

The construction happening across from the Pendray Inn - which is beyond their control as it is being done by the Federal Government - creates some noise issues in the older rooms; the staff were great whenever I had questions about the days the work would happen, with it being done by the Federal Government it is at a level where some notifications to local businesses don’t happen, which is unfortunate. The other issue is with the pictures provided by Booking.com for The Garden Room, showing a balcony, in the pictures, which is NOT included - this does not reflect on Pendray Inn - Booking.com should NOT publish inaccurate information to customers.
