Hayes Valley Inn

Room was great, outside noise a wee bit loud but not disruptive, location excellent but details in room of where to find kitchen, etc would have been great. Staff very helpful on arrival and departure by chance, and toilets were exceptionally clean. The mat in tub was not appealing but understand need in shared facilities, so shower shoes helpful. Restaurant downstairs was great!

Temprature was very warm, and stairs steep for luggage. Never saw kitchen area. Notice about booking luggage storage and how to book (Uber "courier" to Bounce location was confusing for me and had to be cancelled and rebooked). Also perhaps "safer routes" to key areas as a few of streets nearby were very dark and deserted at night. (Using Grove was much less daunting).

The check-in was easy; it's in a fantastic location. The bed was comfortable enough. The communal kitchen is really nice - bright windows. I like the tea selection. Lots of European travelers. Nice to have a sink in the room even though the bathrooms are down the hall. Everything was clean.

Parking was tough on Thursday AM because of street cleaning. The building was pretty loud - neighbors or upstairs guests - hard to tell. The room and bathrooms are very small. The paint job in the room could use a refresh - it's just kind of weird to have spackle dotted on the walls.

- Nice views of the city streets from Queen room - Clean shared bath spaces - Inn is next to two French restaurants - 15 minute walk to Painted Ladies - Room felt like a good in-between of hotel and hostel - Spacious - Quaint

- Borderline unsafe at night, wouldn’t recommend traveling alone - Keys are managed via an app. My access abruptly stopped on Sunday (app couldn’t download key) but fortunately my husband was still able to use his copy. Would recommend bringing your own battery bank just in case. - Very hands off management style. I tried calling the hotel to speak with someone and was directed to an automated phone tree instead. Not convinced I actually talked to a person when I was messaging them through Booking. Prove me wrong, Hayes Valley Inn

Il bagno era veramente pessimo. Non c’era neanche il lavandino che si trovava solo in camera da letto. La camera da letto vecchissima e piccolissima. Per il check in bisogna scaricare un app specifics rendendo tutto complicato e lento. Prezzo decisamente fuori dal comune per questo servizio.
