The King Suites are huge! Incredible value for the amount of space you get. The bar in the lobby is a really nice perk, as is the free continental breakfast. Great for families trying to experience Japantown or Pac Heights while being a little closer to the city center.
The decor is a little dated, but it totally fits the European-Victorian vibe of the pre-earthquake hotel.

Ww loved our stay at the Majestic - a beautiful old hotel in central San Francisco. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Maria on the front desk., nothing was too much trouble.
Guests have access to tea and coffee and cookies in the lobby, which we appreciated.
Easy access to public transport nearby
A good breakfast is included. Would highly recommend for a comfortable and quirky stay in San Fransisco
The ckaw foot bath was tricky to get out of, but not a big problem!

The hotel itself is very cool and interesting. Everything is pretty well preserved or at least similar to what it would have looked like back in the day. It's got a cool vibe to it and the rooms and very interesting.
The issues was the cleanliness and state of the rooms. There was peeling wallpaper, my toilet was detached from the floor and rocking, there were ants in the room, the faucet in the shower was totally broken and I had to use a pen to turn it. I ended up leaving a day earlier because of the ants roaming around.
