I had hip surgery, so I prefer room 110 because it is street level. You must be aware that the Cal Train stops 15 feet out the room door and runs all night. I use ear plugs so it was easy for me to get used to. The room has a full size refer, stove and microwave. No silverware, or dishes provided. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I have stayed several nights in the last month while my husband is in the SF VA hospital. The beach is half a block away. Cute coffee shop at the corner
It would be really nice to add a lamp next to the bed. The overhead lighting is pretty bright but not a deal breaker, just a suggestion. If you are sensitive to noise this is not the place for you.

The location right by the beach in one of the more overcast areas of SF was quite too my liking. It was neither too dense nor too removed from the rest of the city. I also enjoyed having Java Beach Cafe right next door for easy and good food. The maid service was regular, and reliable, and the room was very large. It was also nice having a Muni stop right outside the hotel.
The view from my room was just somebody else's building. Contacting staff outside of check-in was difficult as the business model of the establishment is pretty hands off (check-out is also no contact). The internet was unreliable, which in turn affected the TV entertainment options -- although if you're sitting in your room watching TV, you're probably doing SF wrong.

This is my second time staying here with a 3 year gap. There has been some modifications to the room since our last stay. Much more homey vibe and they are constantly cleaning which is comforting. You walk in and it smells great and you can see they even clean the walls.
No complaints at all i enjoyed my stay.

Clean room, comfortable bed
This so called ocean front hotel is actually right next to the N Judah line and hidden from the ocean behind sand dunes. It was very hard to sleep when the trains were running.
