Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Matthews Charlotte

Part of what convinced me to book this was reviews of how good the breakfast was- i disagree. It wasn’t horrible but was very average, not many options and frequently served limited items that were niche, like survey sausages that were barley cooked and an egg white cube looking patty that has spinach, tomato and some questionable cheese baked into it. Needless to say all i grabbed was a bagel and juice. You’re better off getting breakfast somewhere else locally and don’t even bother wasting the time to wake up early and get down there in time. They only served breakfast until 9am!

The property was in a good location away from the city

The TV did not work and there was no hot water

The property is in a good place if you are just passing through

The property was clean

The location was good. The staff was polite

The walls were so thin we could hear the people next door. At 2:00 a.m. we had several men that came home from the bars and were so loud they woke our entire family up. I have to go outside and tell them to please be quiet as we had a competition early in the morning. Also, the body wash was clogged and there was no staff to replace it. We have to use shampoo to wash ourselves with. The third thing was that there was no working phone in our room. I was told there was no maintenance person to look into it. I felt it was a safety issue
