The room was updated and clean.

The front desk lady on evening shift said the room was in the back. It was 5 doors down from the office in the front. I ask about the shuttle SHE said drop your key in the morning and ask for one. I went to check out at 7 a.m told the man I needed the shuttle and his reply was " it's not wrote down... Did you tell someone". I told him I did and he acted like I didn't. IT states on the Web site that the shuttle runs 7-11 a.m. every hour. So I'm confused.. How exactly does it work?? I even ask if she was new due to her not knowing things and he seemed to get upset. Only reason I even ask was that maybe they need to refresh her memory. Because it is very important to get to Charlotte airport on time especially in the a.m.

I really liked the price, the location was very convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Those were definitely the highlights of my stay.

The overall environment did not feel particularly welcoming or comfortable. The atmosphere gave me the impression of a property that was more run-down and poorly maintained than I expected, and I did not feel especially at ease during my stay. The room also had a noticeable musty, damp, and stale odor. I understand that a hotel room is not going to smell like perfume or air freshener, but there is a difference between a neutral hotel-room smell and an odor that makes the room feel unclean or poorly ventilated. Even a very light, clean, neutral scent would have made a significant difference. Overall, the combination of the atmosphere, room condition, and lingering odor made the experience feel less comfortable and inviting than I expected. I would recommend paying more attention to ventilation, freshness, and the overall presentation of the property.
