Nothing really other than ease of access from main highway

Lack of modern bathroom and fixtures, and good LED type lighting and bulbs. Poor hot water delivery time to ultra slow sink faucet due to flow restrictor on faucet. Horrible CFL lightbulbs in light fixtures. Filthy door paint from guest/staff hands on inside edge of door, should have been clean. Looked like hadn't been wiped down in years. Finally, in a non-smoking room there was a large burn in and completely through the poor quality bed spread.

Room was extremely clean, bed comfortable, exterior property well maintained, safe & good food nextdoor at WV Anchor Restaurant. I like that this motel is one-level, no stairs, quiet area, older style with nostalgic feel!

There was nothing I disliked.

There is positively nothing I liked about this.

I came in a pickup truck with a U-Haul hitched to the back. The owner, shoeless, met me at the door and began not with 'Hello' or 'Good evening', rather with "Where are you going to park this?" After a tete a tete about needing truck parking and how I am not going to unload the U-Haul in order to park, he invited me inside. I booked two rooms, he only had one. He did everything via paper, including the college rules notebook he tracked payments on. I stopped filling out the slip, uncomfortable with writing down my personal information. Especially when he pulled out someone else's who information was clearly visible. He then spent several minutes looking at all of the vacant room keys to figure out which two to give me. The key holder was very full, so I didn't know what the holdup was. All the while seeing other people's card information via a notebook, the cacophony of someone doing dishes in the back, and not feeling safe that their were apartments attached to the building, I told him everything in me was telling me "run". When I asked to cancel the booking, that I didn't feel comfortable, he lied and said he had to take a phone call. The phone never rang. As I slowly drove away, there was ample parking for my truck, so I don't know why he was so concerned about it. I have traveled extensively and it was the absolute sketchiest place I ever went to, ever. I would give this place a 0 out of 5.

The River view

Items in refrigerator from prior tenants. Wi-Fi did not work. Only 3 tv channels. No cable. Shower drain was running very slow. Had to stand in water during shower. Check out time advertised as 11 am. Were told at check in it was 10.
