Natchez Grand Hotel On The River

Hotel is beautiful, staff was great and it is in a great location

Location.

Place is a little dated. I have stayed there 3 times over past 20 years. It appears to diminish in quality each time.

The location, staff and everything was good as nornal

I noticed that during the last two stays, it appears the facilities have gone down. The hallways and especially the elevator area are super hot. The a/c in the room ran all night and didn't get cool until around 0200. Something I never encountered was that there was no cool water, it was borderline too hot on the cool setting. My skin was red from the heat when I got out of the shower and my wife put some water in a cup but was unable to drink it because you could see the steam from the heat coming off it. It takes a lot for me to leave a review like this, normally some things are just expected at a hotel but not this, at this price.

Location, beds were comfortable, parking.

Room we were given by the unfriendly receptionist wasn’t ready, pillow cases left on the beds, door propped open by chair, no clean towels left. Why do you allocate rooms before the clearly overstretched staff are finished?! Rooms are very tired, carpets and curtains grubby and long overdue refurbishment. Hall carpets are stained, dusty and clearly not hoovered very often, there were shells of some description outside our door. Overpowering smell of awful air freshener everywhere!
