Etwas in die Jahre gekommene Hotel-Anlage. Handtücher fleckig, tägliche Reinigung. Sehr überschauliches Frühstück mit Toast und Cornflakes. Leider werden Marmelade, Margarine und Erdnussbutter in Großverpackungen bereit gestellt. So schmiert jeder mit seinem Plastikmesser oder Löffel in den Lebensmitteln rum. Hier empfiehlt es sich das was man mag selber mitzubringen und somit das Frühstück zu ergänzen. Sehr gute Lage. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig zu erreichen. Strand 5 Minuten. Tip: Seneor Donkey, gleich um die Ecke, mexikanisches Familienrestaurant, oder in 700 Metern Entfernung, die South Padre Brewing Company (Brauereigaststätte).

For starters, it’s basically a motel, not a hotel. The asked for an additional $100 in cash when we checked in (had me use the ATM in their lobby which had a charge fee) for a deposit when I had already fully paid for the room. When we checked out the next day, they had us wait while they went to go check our room to ensure nothing was damaged and that we deserved our $100 back. The king size bed had 3 bricks as pillows and there was also hardly in body soap, shampoo, etc. Also, the door to our room didn’t even fit the frame, so there was a big gap at the top of the door. How safe! Would never stay here again!

The cleaning in the room There was a roach on the wall. The towels were dirty. there was a dog next in our room and kept barking and barking.

I was told to check in before a certain time then when I got there I was told to wait an hour to check in. And all there was for breakfast was toast..

The stay was very convenient. The check-in process was also easy (but more on the deposit thing later) Staff were very friendly For all the messages I wrote i got immediate response. Even during the hot day, A/C inside the room was very comfortable. Restaurants and other shops are very close and some of them are walkable Beach is around 10 minutes walk on the east side.

1. There is a CASH deposit of $100 etc at the time of check-in. I do not see this in other major hotels booked via Booking.com or Expedia. Not sure why they cannot follow other hotels process so it is less inconvenient. Of course, they returned the deposit at check-out 2. Another major 'security' concern is, they give parking permit. However they prominently write the room number. I consider that as a security risk. There is no need to put the room number on the permit (which we are required to put on the front of the car) They can have some random serial number instead. This made me very uncomfortable.
