First time here and this place really rocks! So modern and professional. Staffs were friendly and hospitable. Room was spacious and nicely furnished with king bed and all the toilet amenities. Facilities provided (pool and gym) were great for some relaxing. The bar area came with wide spread of stuff to be purchased freely at anytime. The lobby lounge area was super chill, even with great live music! The free shuttle bus service to/from airport was essential and nice thought out. In short, I had a fantastic stay!

If I must scrutinize, I would suggest to provide clear signs and recommendations to nearby restaurants, BART station, etc. or even free shuttle service to the BART Millbreu station.

Airport shuttle was convenient. The lobby and dining/bar areas were a relaxing place to sit. The shuttle came every 15 minutes.

The room had some obvious defects in the walls, perhaps from an old leak or something? It looked like maybe cracks had been repaired (but not well.) It should be less obvious. The light switch for the bathroom was hard to find. Otherwise, the room was spacious and clean. The ramen machine was out of everything but one dish.

The wake up call we had requested didn’t occur. Staff confirmed when we followed up that it was on the system. Could have been disastrous if we didn’t have a back up. In our last two stays though we have found both times that there has been a sub set of guests that have taken over the pool area and made it unpleasant for others to enjoy.

Awesome modern bathroom. There was a door to separate the toilet and shower to allow privacy if you have a traveling companion. And the shower was a walk in. Also, we were on the freeway side and it seemed much quieter than other hotels I have stayed at in that area. Also there is a walking trail along the bay. And you can eat at the Westin restaurant next door which is very good. And the staff were very friendly.

The beds were fine but not the same quality as other Westin's but I'll take the bathroom any day over a plush bed.

Rate Aloft is very close to SFO airport and offers shuttle service to and from the airport. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location has a very young adult, modern vibe throughout. It is clean and sleek and appears well maintained. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet Bathroom facilities very pretty.

No night light in the bathroom.

Check-in was a fun experience, yes fun. The desk clerk from Kenya was a joy! The room was perfect! The lounge was good and the evening food offered at the lounge was good, considering it wasn't a full restaurant! Shuttle was great and reliable.

Breakfast, which wasn't included in the price, was not ready at 6 am. Nobody knew where anything was (silverware, syrup, cream, tea bags, etc.) and this stuff was supposed to be available in the store all the time. The breakfast entrees were to be available at 6:30, but I doubt they were. Breakfast needs a lot more effort for a hotel that supports a lot of people getting early flights next to SFO, Eating areas were not really cleaned up and ready for the breakfast crowd.

Loved the fresh, modern feel of the hotel from the lobby to the rooms. I got in very late and hadn't eaten so finding the ramen vending machine in the lobby felt like a colossal win. It was a great bowl of ramen! Such a unique and fun feature for a hotel to offer.

I just got back from Japan so it is unfair to compare but the amenities in the room were slim. There was one cup so tea when I arrived left no cup for coffee in the morning without rinsing out a disposable cup. I had run out of toothpaste and as noted, in Japan, all of those are provided in the room which would have been very handy in this situation.

Very clean and organized, convenient location for the airport and BART.

Hotel and room were clean and adequately furnished. Staff was courteous and professional.

Parking for hotel guest visitors was terrible. No parking spaces were available on a Saturday night and the parking gate to leave the lot was inefficient, inoperative for credit card payment, and poorly designed and marked. We had to go back to the Front Desk for assistance to depart the premises in our rental car.

Without food options close by it would be nice to have more available in the hotel or at least recommendations for where to get a meal. The prices of the snack items were outrageous especially when there are no options elsewhere. Room had perfume /air sanitizer odor

$49 to park for 24hrs it too much, $15 for a bottle of beer is also too much and $18 for stone cold nachos was too much! Other than very high pricing the hotel is comfortable and served it’s purpose as an overnight rest stop on landing.

Pricing and one member of staff in particular was not very helpful. All of the other staff members were great though. Restaurant menu was very basic and highly priced

I liked the different offerings the hotel had like live music on Friday night in the lounge, the fact that I could order from the lounge bar and take it back to my room, the board games scattered around the guest areas.

There is literally no parking for guests! The last time I stayed at this hotel, parking was free. This time it was $48/night!!! What? I see that more than half the parking lot is reserved for Park’n’Fly and NOT hotel guests and it’s so confusing to know where to park. The worst part is that all the spots near the entrances to the hotel and it’s perimeter are Park’n’Fly spots! They should be dedicated hotel guest spots! This is the highest parking I’ve ever had to pay at any hotel and it really made me never want to book with Aloft SFO again. I realize it’s clearly stated on the website, but it’s wrong to charge paying guests to park overnight when they pay for their rooms. I also didn’t like that the wing we were in was connected to the pool - so it was hot and muggy in the hallways and rooms and I know it’s due to the pool. The room was extremely warm and dry and because the windows don’t open it was so bad through the night. Our room was just ok. It was dated and needed to be renovated. There was a big stain on the carpet when we arrived. This is clearly THE dog room. We did bring our dog, but this was a very old and large dog pee stain on the floor. If you’re designating a room for dogs, don’t put carpeting in it! Duh! You also need to put more than one dog bag disposal bin at the hotel. I will say that the grassy somewhat landscaped areas around the hotel and parking lots is an absolute hazard! We did see hypodermic needles in the grass, beer bottles, and lots of litter. We would not allow our dog on the grass because of this. The landscaping, in general, at this location is very sad! It needs care!
