The rooms are clean and ample. The grounds are beautiful and location was everything we needed. Our whole stay revolved around being in Carlsbad so we were able to walk to everything!!
There was no blow dryer or microwave in the room. A huge "beetle" or roach got into our bathroom one night and i about flipped out having to kill it. :( I did not enjoy the mattress much. Very hard and very bouncy.

great location, pretty grounds, not too crowded, comfortable bed, friendly front desk staff.
Small details- it would be nice to have milk sold at the little store there or provided in the morning for coffee. No side tables at the pool so awkward with book/drink etc.

The staff were nice people. Close to beach and Legoland (15-20min Dr). The shower and in-room hot tub was great but hot water didn’t work half the time.
Hot water was out in the morning and wasn’t addressed. Roaches appeared multiple times. The property is a renovated motel upselling as luxury.
