The hotel is excellently located right on the beach and there probably isn't a room with a bad view. What makes this hotel extraordinary is the staff! Every person we came in contact with was friendly, courteous and professional. Kudos to an exemplary staff!
The hotel is a bit on the older side and can certainly use an update or two. Certainly not the hotel's fault but, unfortunately, the days we spent in Tybee Island were quite cloudy and very windy (20-30 MPH) so spending time on the beach was impossible. Also, the beach is in dire need of renourishing as most of the sand has been been washed away due to serious erosion.

The walk to the beach was easy to do, even though the main walkway immediately from the hotel was closed off. It was easy to get around to go to the beach entrance. The hotel was within walking distance of most things within Tybee Island, such as The Deck restaurant.
The cleanliness of the room was mostly clean, but several hairs were around the sink, shower, and toilet. Hair that was very clearly not mine. There was no bathmat to walk on after your shower had completed, so I had to use one of the towels. On the booking, it showed a perfect view of the beach, and I planned around being able to see the beach when I wake up in the morning. That is one of the reasons I paid such a price for the beachfront hotel. Come to find out, the rooms I was given was not a beachfront room. The parking spots were difficult to get out of, sometimes requiring a 6 point turn to get out. I stated in my preference I would like a quiet room. I was not able to get that preference met. I heard several conversations with people in rooms next to me on the phone where they were swearing, threatening to kill someone over the phone, etc. all through the walls of my bedroom.

Location was good, staff friendly and responsive.
Trash in-between bed and nightstand from previous tenant. Shower was clogged day one, corrected same day. Carpet in room was gross and out dated.
