Breakfast could be better, but it was okay.

We booked this hotel last minute while driving through North Carolina. The price was very reasonable, the hotel looked nice, and the room was quite spacious. The bed was comfortable. I really liked the shower. The hot water came on almost immediately, the shower head had great water pressure, and there was plenty of water. The body wash also smelled very nice. We checked in very late, and even though there were other guests checking in at the same time, the process was fast and convenient. The lady at the front desk was efficient and explained everything we needed to know. Breakfast was included in the price. There is also a gym, pool, and jacuzzi on the first floor. We didn’t use them, but everything looked clean and well maintained.

The room had a noticeable musty, humid smell, almost like damp carpet. It wasn’t dirty, but the room definitely felt very humid. The wall AC unit under the window was also quite loud. There was also occasional loud plumbing noise coming from the bathroom, almost like the toilet was flushing or water was circulating on its own. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. It was served on foam plates with plastic utensils, the coffee was very weak and bitter, the oatmeal was completely plain, and the eggs were dry and too salty. The breakfast meat also tasted like something from a frozen meal. The only thing we liked was the make-your-own waffles.

Staff were friendly and informative. Quick to respond to an issue. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was nice with a number of choices.

Breakfast was good and service folks were friendly, attentive, first rate.

In room refrigerator was full of Chinese food and smelled inside the room.
