Loved the close proximity to beautiful Carmel. Loved the gorgeous courtyard with spa and fireplaces to gather around in the evening. Loved the wine and cheese on offer from 4 - 6pm every night. Beautiful, quiet grounds and friendly, helpful staff.
For two of us in the bed, it was too soft.

Location
For the price, the hotel can be better maintained. Carper right by the fireplace and for a place which is dog-friendly is not a great idea.
It does not give the impression of being clean.
Breakfast was very basic - again for the price, could use better products and presentation.
