Hydrangea Inn

We had the entire upper floor of the house which was like a small apartment with kitchen, study, living room and bedroom. It was a very comfortable space. There was an outdoor sitting area which we also took advantage of. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The location is convenient to restaurants and local attractions. The house and guest rooms were meticulously clean. The yard was well maintained and, of course, there were many hydrangeas.

We saw very little of the owner, Renee. She was present when we arrived and then unseen through our departure. It was not a problem, but in many B&Bs, the owner is available to chat about local attractions and recommend places to visit. In addition, having a common breakfast area where all guests gather and chat is a nice feature of many B&Bs. Our breakfast was delivered in the entryway of the house each morning, we ate in our room and we did not meet other guests. This should not be a deal breaker except for the extremely social person who expects the above mentioned features to be present as every other aspect of this B&B is outstanding.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious- what a wonderful way to begin the day!

Breakfast was a definite high point to a great stay. The Inn is an historic home on a quiet residential street in Eureka. The grounds are beautiful with a comfortable area to sit in the garden. Our generous room was on the top floor. It included a bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and kitchen.
