The staff were really nice.
Unfortunately, the facility wasn't up to standard. After a long day of travel, I checked in and wiped down my room, only to discover the shower was clogged and the TV wasn't working. I had to be moved to a new room, which also needed additional cleaning. To their credit, the staff responded right away, but it took time to get everything sorted when all I wanted was to relax.
The next morning, the elevators were shut down from 9 AM to 12 PM for maintenance, right in the middle of a workday morning when guests are heading out. There was no direct communication about it. The only notice was flyers posted late in the day, after we had already settled in for the night, so there was no realistic way to plan around it. Work like this should be scheduled during off-peak hours and communicated to guests directly, at check-in or by message, well ahead of time.
The staff's responsiveness was appreciated, but the rooms should be inspected before guests arrive and maintenance shouldn't disrupt peak hours.
