Excellent location, directly across from Golden Gate Park. Great for Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival and other events. Very friendly staff. Boutique feel.
No climate control for warmer days. Fortunately I was able to request a fan. San Francisco is a mild climate, but there was not even a ceiling fan to combat the stuffiness.

The location is amazing - right across the street from Golden Gate Park, and there are lot of good dining options within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was great, and very helpful - and the facility, while dated, was well maintained.
There are also a number of nice amenities - cookies at check-in, wine reception every afternoon, copies of the NY Times in the morning.
The rooms are clean, but the furniture is dated. There was only a bedside table and lamp on one side of the bed, The chair at the desk needs to be reupholstered. And the breakfast is definitely in need of an upgrade.
