LUMA Hotel - Times Square

This was my second stay at LUMA, and it genuinely felt like returning to a familiar place. With so many hotels to choose from in New York, I find LUMA strikes a great balance: conveniently located on the quieter side near Bryant Park, with excellent transport connections and little bakeries and cafés around, yet also within walking distance of so much of Manhattan when you simply feel like strolling through the city. The team looked after me wonderfully. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, and I really appreciate the thoughtful amenities — from the Dyson hairdryer to the gym bag and kettle, kindly provided on request. I enjoyed my freshly cooked eggs, Greek yogurt and blueberry granola pots each morning. My one suggestion would be a little more variety at breakfast, particularly on the savoury side — perhaps good sourdough or crispbreads, a white cheese such as cottage or feta, and more fresh or cooked vegetables. Thank you to the whole LUMA team for making my return feel so welcoming. I very much hope to be back again!

The staff - they were friendly, helpful and made the hotel feel like home

Per la nostra esperienza l'albergo si è dimostrato perfetto: posizione incredibile molto vicino a Times Square e praticamente a 50 metri da Bryant Park, vicinissimo a diverse fermate della metropolitana, pulitissimo, abbastanza moderno e recente, molto ben organizzato, staff eccezionale. Staff molto gentile. Il bar/ristorante al piano terra è davvero molto buono, consigliato. Credo sia difficile trovare un albergo migliore per visitare NY.

La temperatura dell'aria condizionata per noi italiani era troppo bassa: anche regolando la temperatura al massimo (più calda) era comunque troppo fredda per noi. Abbiamo risolto spegnendo per tutto il soggiorno l'aria condizionata, anche se da una bocchetta in prossimità dell'ingresso della camera, arrivava lo stesso aria fredda e non era possibile gestirla dal termostato della camera.

Nice location next to Bryant Park and walk to Times Square, Central Park, bus station, train station, 1 Vanderbilt, Rockefeller Centre etc etc Comfy bed -had to pay extra for a room which didn’t face the brick wall at the back! Staff in bar & restaurant were friendly.

Although we reported 3 times that our tv wasn’t working it didn’t get fixed til the last day. And our request for a cable for the magic mirror never arrived. Shampoo etc really poor quality. Had to pay for water. Niggles but annoying for the price you pay.
