Decent stay. With little rests.

Excellent location ;bkfastn/a. Good price for the night.

The pillows were soooo HARD. Slept from 10-2:00am only.

Had higher hopes for stay

Bar and Restaurant were both closed and had been so for months yet still listed as open on website. Both were major reason I booked that location.

Unique historic with restaurants and bars within its walls and ghosts they say. Such a fun place to stay.

Fun, unique location!

The Receptionist was friendly and helpful!

I was happy with most everything. The walls were pretty thin, so neighbors were kinda noisy, but that probably can't be helped in an older building. It was fun staying in a unique and historical place. Loved how convenient and close it was too town.

Was a very nice one day stay!

The room was spacious, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom rather large for un updated castle that had no bathroom's to start with. The check in lady was very nice and helpful.

NO A/C in the room. We happen to visit on the hottest days of the year and the windows don't open so it was very hot in the room. Would stay again but in the Fall and Winter.

Haunted Castle lived up to its reputation.

Had an unusual smell but this place is haunted. Went in with an open mind and it certainly was an experience. The history of the building was fascinating. Amber at the front desk was simply amazing. She is a people person for sure!

Exceptional

The room was very comfortably furnished. The castle has 2 bars and a restaurant with excellent Thai food. Recommend the pork sliders and pot stickers! The grounds are delightful to look at.

Bed could have been softer but not to terrible.

Great place to stay in Port Townsend.

Wonderful place to stay! Very clean. Bed was comfortable. The room was spacious. Plenty of parking.

Adequate but unlikely to recommend though limited options for reasonable price.

Grounds with seating in garden. Room with shower met our needs.

Needs upgrades. Carpets very dirty and had a smell. None of the restaurant or lounge open. Also, thought the hotel was downtown so we wouldn't need to drive. Few restaurants close by.

To noisy in the rooms, to light as well!

Nice on the outside, friendly staff

Windows in the doors let to much light in for slerping, needs curtains. Quite a noisy place, the decor didnt match well, various colors and needs a decorator to advise on making the rooms more attractive!

Fun, modest accoumodations at a reasonable rates.

Visible updates have been made to the exterior of the property and the building itself. Glad to see the improvements from our past stays at the castle over the past 15 years. The Green Room bar was busy with energy and the adjacent restaurant too. Popularity of the castle has increased. Menu offered a some plant-based food options.

A few aspects of the interior room still need updating.

History

I love history so this was a great place to stay. I love a good haunting as well. We heard a child running around in the middle of the night.

I think the elevator is very scary, small and old. Lots of stairs which takes me forever because I have bad eyes. That's nothing bad just bad for me.

Nice unique and historic place to stay

Lovely, Fascinating historic mansion property. Well kept in the decor of the era but with comfortable modern beds.

Only one very small microwave for all guests to use.

The history of the building was interesting, and the architecture and decor seemed true to its age. The three bars were a nice surprise! It's definitely worth another visit!

Due to being an old building....smelled a bit of old man... windows didn't open very wide and no A/C. It stayed a bit stuffy, not unbearable, tho.

pleasant but barebones

it was an interesting old historic building and the staff was very friendly.

No bedside table on my side of the bed and no drinking glasses in the bathroom to get a glass of water.

Relaxing Stay not far from Seattle, WA.

Enjoyed a special show "Magic at the Castle" on our stay during the Victorian Festival weekend. Stayed in the cottage. Nice and private.

Don’t get your hopes up about the fact that it is called a castle

Close to where I needed to be.

Room was dirty, shower door would not close, very old hotel so no electrical outlets to charge devices. There was 1 in the bathroom and 1 behind the bed.

Beautiful! Food was great, staff was amazing, so neat just walking around...

Freezing. We had to keep our heater on the whole time in our room. The minute we walked out of our room, the whole place was super cold!
