Fairmont Austin

Hotel check in was simple and we were offered lots of recommendations locally to visit. Hotel room was spacious and clean. The pool was great, as was the bike hire (free for 2 hours)

Biggest issue we found was the noise levels surrounding the hotel. They are building a convention centre next door and we found lots of noise from 6am onwards. We visited as tourists and felt that the hotel was more focused surrounding conventions etc

Location. Soft bed. Good bar

It looked a little old. Parking is high

The pool was extremely crowded, and there was not enough staff available to provide adequate service. For a hotel of this size, I would expect a larger pool area, more poolside staff, and a bigger bar area to accommodate guests comfortably. We had breakfast at the hotel on Monday, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was served cold, and the service was very slow. We ordered simple items such as avocado toast, an omelet, and a yogurt parfait, yet it took more than 30 minutes for our meals to arrive, and they were cold when served. We also had to wait a long time to receive our check.
