The location
The shower walls did not look clean, and the previous repairs appeared to have been roughly plastered over. I understand it’s an older building, but the repairs could have been done more carefully so the bathroom looks clean and well maintained.

Loved that it was pet-friendly and the staff was so helpful.

What I have always found the best about this hotel is the quietness. They were fully booked all weekend and I never heard another guest. Room was clean. What else could you want?
Shower could have been hotter. AC could have been colder. But that is really nit-picking.

Hotel is centrally located in Avalon, close to shopping, dining and the beach. It does include small kitchenette, with fridge and microwave.
Hotel is old and run down. Surprised that it has not been better maintained nor updated in years. Linens, bed, pillows disappointing. No chair to sit in. Building is dark, not very secure with lots of stairs to climb.
