staff was friendly and helpful
the room was outdated and get a lot like a motel also our room door was a sliding door that led right into a balcony that was like a main walk way .

Diamond in the really, really rough. Our room 205 was horrible run down mess. Torn carpet, broken loose tiles, burnt stained pots in kitchen no dish soap, dishwasher soap. A mess for the high price we paid
Outside property was good. Room was horrible

I paddled over in the outrigger race. Comfy bed was great after a tiring day.
The air conditioner had condensation that dripped throughout the night.

Location was good. Staff was friendly and accommodating especially the general manager.
They have a jacuzzi in the bathroom which works but felt too dirty to use it.
VERY overpriced for a run down room that needs major renovations. Dirty furniture, lampshades, stained chairs and walls. Some parts of roof and wall is peeling and coming off probably due to some sort of water damage. The jacuzzi is the same place you take a shower. It’s not a separate tub. Felt very unclean to sit in a tub that you also shower in and knowing others do as well, YUCK!

Raul was a diamond employee. He picked us up from the ferry timely and went the extra mile. We inquired as to we needed a microwave and did not have a microwave or fridge in our room, (the advertisement had this as well as a view of the ocean.) We were checked into room 206 the second floor corner room with no microwave or fridge and minimum view. He first said he would find us a microwave, then said no I’m going to change your room and he did. 5 star employee 😊
The female receptionist checked us into what appeared to be a room for “overflow” guests. 206 has a bed and 32” tv that’s it. As we stayed 3 nights we saw 3 other rooms available in a far better area than 206 for all 3 nights of our stay. Why we were not assigned one of the better rooms from the beginning idk😟

The location was perfect with a beautiful view of the ocean. But the best part was the hospitality. We were picked up when we arrived nd showed around. Highly recommend this place and when ur there ask for RAUL. He made everything sooooo much better for us... Definitely returning there again...

The location is great. No need for taxis or a golf cart.
The hotel is a bit older and worn down and didn't have a ton of in-room amenities.

The staff was wonderful and personable. The members at the front counter were so kind and went above and beyond to serve our needs.

The location was great, and our view was amazing. The staff was very nice, and offered us a ride back in the cart down to the ferry after our stay. After reading reviews, I decided to upgrade to a room with our own kitchen so we could cook our own food and have a view and bathtub. (we did not get a room with a tub)
But it was exactly what we had expected going in! Also, the hot tub jacuzzi was a great perk since we did not have a tub.
The rooms are VERY outdated, and the beds/pillows were not very comfortable. The kitchen pots and pans were unusable just because everything was so old. It was clean, but for the price I think we should have had some nicer, updated things. The location is also on top of a hill, which we didn't really mind, (except for carrying up the groceries we wanted for cooking) but could be difficult for some.

Staff was EXCELLENT, and location was perfect (great views).
For $300/night I expected much more modern rooms..everything from the kitchen (and fixtures) to mattress were outdated and doesn’t look like it’s changed since the 80’s.

Location
No internet...not good for business trip. I could not login to do any work related.

There were ants in the bathroom, you could not have a bath as the plug did not fit, the shower was okay but it was a jacuzzi tub and would have been nice to use. Our room had a broken vending machine right outside that shone light in through the blinds and was noisy all night. The mattress and pillows were not comfortable at night, but it was cheap to stay and you know what they say

I didn’t realize they were going to be rides from the Main Avalon back so we had a Holla brown luggage all the way up the hill.
They wouldn’t let us go in the spa at 8 o’clock at night on a Sunday. As spa area was locked. They didn’t give us enough coffee packets for our room. They put us directly below the washer and dryer room so it was pretty loud all night long.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.
No free continental breakfast as advertised. The wi-fi extremely spotty. Old, dated similar to army barracks.
This hotel needs ANY TLC.

The beds are like a rock and the place is falling apart. Need upgrades.

This is an older property badly in need of a remodel. Despite this the staff was great.
The condition of the property.
8.0
It was easily accessible.
Room service never came to tidy up while we were there and we had to ask for extra toilet paper and towels.

The location was OK
The property was run down and over priced. The furniture looked like it was pickup from the streets, the shower/tub required a ladder to get in and out of it, the caulking around the tub was black and looked moldy, the shower curtain rod was rusted, the sink was pulled away from the wall, the room was under a stairwell, the carpet was sticky, the entry door had a hole in it which was covered with duct tape, the curtains had holes, the exterior of the building needed painting or cleaning, In general this a substandard property and overpriced, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff
Good location away from the fray. I have no complaints.

breakfast not included in stay
Dilapidated room w/ ripped carpet, chronic clogging of shower drain. Bright outside lights with no black out curtains for night time or undressing. Gap above our room door allowing cigarette smoke in (smoke coming from adjacent patio close to our room). After raising concern, staff did nothing to direct smokers to designated smoking area. Furthermore, smokers could be seen right above the main office’s outside desk. On a positive note, room was pretty clean. Staff was nice.

Location was great. Front desk was really helpful!
Old and dated. Clean, but not sparkly.

So close to everything, yet, very quite place to stay.
No bottles of water available in the room or for coffee.

Had nice view from outside on the main outside area.
Toilet seat not secure. Tiny patio with one broken chair.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. I requested for extra pillows and had them within a matter of minutes.
Just the location and the hill to walk to the hotel. Tough walk specially if you're leaving and coming back a few times a day. No ocean view at all, we were the last room in the back bottom floor, no continental breakfast (pandemic issues) not your fault. The door lock was a pain to lock and unlock. AC was extremely loud to have it on, we settled for the ceiling fan.
5.0
Location at one end of village, but only 7/10 minute walk to center. Couple staff members I saw very nice.
No breakfast because of Covid. Inn is old n in need of painting. Rooms very old and dated. AC super noisy. Spa tub, not finished building so not working, squeezed in small concrete driveway, right in front of guest office and rooms.
Beside my room was unkept area neglected and used for junk yard/thrash. Real eyesore. No staff member there during night after approx 8pm. Didn’t feel very safe.

Location, Nice view
Nice staff
Good value for a one night stay
No bathroom fan
No AC
Tv not working- they fixed it.
