Reykjavik Lights Hotel by Keahotels

The breakfast was very above average. The staff were polite, friendly and welcoming - especially the receptionists were very helpful. I used the laundry service which worked beyond expectations.

The light switches in the room was placed in odd places. I would have liked more storagespace in the bathroom

A modern hotel with spacious communal areas and check In. Check in was seamless and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of items.

This was the first of three hotels I stayed at in Reykjavik. Its quite a distance from the main throb of the town and even the single room I booked was very small and not good value for money (£200+ for one night) - even for Iceland!

I really did not expect that as a single room, I would have to lug my luggage up and down stairs. Then in the morning I was told that I could not leave the card keys in my room, I had to bring it to the front desk. This adds to the time. So I had to lug my luggage up the stairs then go to 2nd floor then catch elevator to first floor which is really busy in the morning. Just added to the stress of meeting the bus on time. The cups in the bathroom are very pretty but due to the uneven face up and down and sideways, it almost slipped from my hands. The cups in Kea Hotel Akureyri were simple, good looking, light and did the job.
