The Weather

Internet was poor, almost impossible to get early dinner reservations (if you do not like to eat late, you're in trouble). All restaurants were reservation only for dinner :( They did not enforce the dress code to restaurants or saving chairs at pool. Common areas were not clean. No welcome drink upon arrival. We got accosted up on our arrival for a sales pitch to show us the upgraded exclusive area that you pay more for. The restaurants menus had special entrees only for the exclusive guest. Food was fair at best; some meals were over cook or under cook. Rooms were noisy at night and no security to enforce quiet hours. Mini Bar in room was a JOKE!!!! TWO MINI Beers that's it for alcohol. Pool is in need of maintenance lots of chipped paint and dirty lines. LOTS of seaweed on beach and was not kept cleaned up throughout the day. Ash trays in common areas were not even cleaned daily. Staff spoke little to no English. Cats were roaming the restaurants every day and begging for food. Maids forgot to leave fresh wash clothes three days.

I did not like the fact that you have to make reservation for any restaurants for dinner I can understand the steak house but all restaurants annoying to me

El ambiente , la tranquilidad y el hecho de poder usar las piscinas por la noche . El room service las 24 hrs . El tamaño de la habitación , estaba limpia pero con un muy leve olor a humedad, a ratos perceptible . Los jardines , el paisajismo , se nota preocupación , no son solo palmeras . Hay muchos rincones acogedores para sentarse y conversar o beber algo en pareja .

La comida está límite de ser mala, poco variada . La opción de tragos es básica en términos de marca a menos que seas socio. No pudimos usar la playa por el sargazo y tampoco limpiaban la orilla de ésta . Le faltaba algo de Mantención a las piscinas ( pintura).

I like the proximity of the room and the beach, pool and restaurants.

Some of the tiles on the grounds were loose. Very easy to get tripped up. Also, the toilets didn’t flush. And the Wi-Fi only worked in lobby areas. It was spotty at best.

La atención fue espectacular de principio a fin de la estadía, el personal del hotel fue siempre muy amable, muy atento, y nunca sentí que estuvieran esperando propinas a cambio (como se suele leer en los comentarios)... La comida del hotel es espectacular, los restaurantes a la carta son muy variados y la comida es deliciosa, el ambiente en la piscina de la zona solo adultos es muy agradable, respetuoso, ideal para parejas y hacer topless si te gusta.

Revisar las épocas de viaje para evitar encontrar mucha alga en la playa.

I had a great vacation.

O café da manhã e almoço no Thalassa eram muito bons. O hotel é muito bonito, em especial as áreas coletivas, tudo moderno, novinho e agradável. Quarto aconchegante.

Os jantares deixaram a desejar em quase todos os restaurantes que fomos, não atenderam as expectativas. Necessidade de reserva para os jantares. Muitas vezes, as informações do aplicativo não correspondiam aos cardápios apresentados nos restaurantes. Faltaram algumas informações no check-in, em especial, sobre o Catalonia familiar, que tínhamos acesso, mas pouca informação, como horário para reserva em seus restaurantes. Alguns funcionários bastante grosseiros, outros mais agradáveis. A praia, devido ao sargaço, que informaram ser uma questão sazonal, foi frustrante.

Staff was fantastic. Thank you to Carlitos and Ashly, our wonderful bartenders, and Bienvenido at the spa. The facilities were clean, well kept, and everyone was lovely.

Merky ocean due to red tide was a dissapointment but water excursion was a great time. Next time we will go after September when ocean is clearer.

Booking.com messed up my reservation indicating only 1 guest in the reservations instead of 2 causing over an hour delay to check in and costing us an additional almost $600 USD because the rates are higher for more guests.

Some of the saff where nice and some was very rude the property looks beautiful but I’m reality there’s a lot of issues with it too

I’ve had a lot of issues with this property twice they enter the room when I was naked and didn’t turn there face away they kept staring this is a very serious problem and it’s invasion of privacy

Upon first entering room everything was great but did'nt notice the broken toilet seat till later that evening. Was going to make a complaint in-person at the front lobby the next morning but, before we could get back from our morning walk, the servants/housekeeping had already taken care of it and then some. Food/service was excellent. pools were kept tidy. friendly staff.

Too many distractions and being accosted by excursion salesmen on the beaches that we thought were a part of the resort staff(our very first visit to the island so we were unawares!) after that it made us uncomfortable to want to wander the beaches or waters just steps from the bar trying to relax and unwind.
