Amenities around were the best.

The room was dirty, with long hairs and broken nails lying around on the carpet flooring and also the toilet Confirm it wasn't vacuumed before giving it to us.

NOT MUCH AT ALL. It's very rare that we DON'T enjoy our stay at a hotel. There are different degrees of enjoyment but with this stay there was NO enjoyment. - please read below. To mention some positives however, the proximity to Chinatown and the night market is one of the few things we did like about our short stay (I say short because we left before the check out date and moved to another hotel for our remaining days in Kuala Lumpur).

From the overly long check in process, standing waiting at reception to receive our keys; to the room on the 8th floor which looked more like a 3 star and needed some refurbishment; to the reception area being used as an overflow for the restaurant and having to navigate passed people eating to get to the elevators; to the bar where we couldn't even get a soft drink during the day as English was very limited; to the tour desk that didn't appear very inviting to tourists. The whole hotel seemed geared towards locals and not international tourists. And the reason we left, was a cockroach in our room (on the 8th floor) on our 2nd day. And when we checked out 2 days before we were due to check out, the reception didn't even ask why, they simply highlighted that we wouldn't receive a refund for the days that we didn't stay there. Honestly, we have never had a stay where we had to leave early and there were just too many things wrong, with the cockroach as the last straw. Deeply disappointed, despite the staff being courteous and polite. That just wasn't enough.

They charged me twice for my room. And the woman who did the transaction had the nerve to blame me for the mistake. Weeks later I still have not received a refund. I did not receive an apology from anybody. And it seems they have decided to keep my money. There customer service is an absolute joke.

Location. Staff. Cleanliness. Shower water pressure. Comfortable. Big room.

Furniture needs to be updated. Please add more for breakfast variety (but this may be due to the main restaurant being under renovation). Maybe can include white light in the room lightings? Room seem quite moody at night.
