Location excellent, staff excellent
Bar not open long enough

The hotel is clean, reasonably comfortable, ideally located in the centre of the town. Very reasonably priced the Royal Hotel is a great staging post for exploring the highlands and as an overnight stay for travellers wanting to take the mid-day ferry to the Orkneys.
The breakfast was excellent and the hotel has a very well stocked whisky bar.

We liked the breakfast format. Very good. The Hotel is a bit tired but similar to most in the Highlands.
A lift.

The staff were friendly & helpful. The location (central) was convenient - plenty of parking, shops nearby. I had two nice evening meals and two
Nice breakfasts.
The room was quite basic, small: the decor was shabby and old fashioned - stained carpet, chipped paint etc
