Metropole Katoomba

So close to the train station and walking distance to great places to eat

Just need to be aware steps up to front door are a little steep when you have luggage but handrail there

Old style building and comfy bed

Outdated furniture, needs renovations in some areas

Don’t judge a book by its cover! At first, I was a little concerned that this place wouldn’t live up to my expectations. It is very old and there are quite a few stairs. However, our room was quaint, clean and comfortable, with room service provided every day. The hot breakfast was okay, with plenty of room in the restaurant, which, like the rest of the property, has plenty of old-world character. It’s certainly not a 5-star hotel, but it’s definitely worth a stay. It’s comfortable, clean and, most importantly, close to everything. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere convenient with a bit of character.

Didnt like the pillows, queen room little small and didnt look as nice as it did on the wwbsite, little dark, but overall was a good stay.

As above
