Sutherlands Hotel

Kind staff and clean rooms

Comfortable, clean room. Very quiet through the night we stayed (a Saturday). Easy check in and out. Helpful staff.

Slightly broken handle on door but didn't affect function or our experience particularly.

Everything was spot on it was perfect

There was nothing not to like it was amazing

Friendly and helpful staff on arrival and during the evening. The evening meal not particularly large menu choice but the dishes we chose were very good. Pleasant enough room, spacious and comfortable bed. Plenty of tea, coffee etc. in the room.

There was no one available to speak to when we checked out apart from a cleaner who told us to leave the key on the desk. We stayed in room 9 - a bit confused as to why there was an unplugged upright freezer in the room! The TV remote batteries missing - quickly supplied by staff when informed - but still did not work well as it failed to operate volume at all or the standby at the end of the day (maybe down to the replacement batteries?). Biggest issue was the bathroom which has black staining on the ceiling above the bath - possible mould or where mould has once been? Also the self at the bottom of the mirror fixture above the sink is missing - this was very deceptive as at first glance it looked like a glass shelf there, my husband removed his glasses and tried putting them on there but they just fell straight onto the floor.
