Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Spa

The property was what one would expect of a Marriott. Some of the staff though were exceptional and made it better than the average. Thiago was a standout that just had a knack for finding a way to exceed expectations and is one hell of a resourceful gentleman. There were also a couple of people at the restaurant that were genuinely friendly and helpful - Marthanavya something and another older gentleman.

Nothing Specific.

The hotel itself was very modern, great facilities, really useful for families (with multiple pools for young children), and great accessibility from floor to floor.

Perhaps the staff at reception needed more upskilling - on check-in and on check-out there were mistakes made with request the deposit, as well as communicating how much of the deposit will be released vs charged. Maybe it's a staff training issue, or maybe the systems the hotel are using do not make it clear for the staff. I don't know.

Beautiful rooms and hotel. Very clean and free room cleaning service offered everyday, as well as free in room tea, coffee and water, also restocked each day. Food was great. The pools were huge and there were plenty of sunbeds. The train to the beach was amazing.

Other than the buffet option, restaurants at the hotel are more expensive than going out for food in the general area, and not necessarily any better. One of the restaurant staff dropped a tray of drinks over someone in my party and, although we were of course not angry, no goodwill gestures were offered, which I would expect at a nice establishment. Another restaurant staff member, trying to be funny, unprovoked, decided who on our table would pay for the meal which left them awkwardly forced into it and led to us having to transfer money rather than just splitting the bill like we requested.

Le piscine per adulti erano sempre piene di bambini, Alcuni addirittura giocavano anche a pallone e nessuno dell’hotel li ha mai minimamente guardati disturbando chiaramente chi voleva rilassarsi in piscina Il personale dell’hotel in generale era distratto sembrava lì per caso Il ragazzo che da i teli in piscina mai un sorriso, sembra quasi che ti stia facendo un favore La qualità del cibo non è assolutamente di un hotel 5 stelle Si mangia male a prezzi molto alti,il ristorante giapponese dell’hotel è un’esperienza da evitare La spa a pagamento per gli ospiti la trovo una cosa veramente molto poco carina per chi decide di soggiornare in questo posto La ragazza della reception che ci ha fatto il check in con la divisa sporca e le unghie con lo smalto tutto rovinato e al nostro arrivo nessuno ci ha preso le valigie dal cofano É stato un disservizio continuo dall’inizio alla fine della vacanza La stanza non era neanche così pulita, peccato perché io conosco e frequento gli hotel Marriott ma questo sembra che non abbia nulla a che vedere con questo gruppo è un cinque stelle ma per quello che offrono sembrerebbe a stento 4 Peccato!
