This property was a real gem crammed with interesting antique furniture and surrounded by incredible forest. The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure our every need was met. The facilities are very generous and the house also has a washing machine and tumble dryer which after a number of days travelling was very well received. The host made recommendations for us to stop at a local farm store along the way which was all the things a farm store should be and made our dinner delicious. She also ensured the house was warm for our arrival and there were electric blankets and heaters in both rooms to take away the chill. The night was filled with owl hoots and other night bird species, the morning was filled with even more bird calls. The garden is beautiful and all though we did not get the chance to explore, the host provided a number of suggested walks and activities. This property was very competitively priced and the tv provided all streaming services peloaded which was a nice touch.

The drive in can be a bit daunting as it is quite steep with lots of turns, would recommend arriving in daylight if you are nervous driver. There are wooden stairs to the house which can be a little slippery when carrying a suitcase up in the rain.

It was lovely settled in the forest like a tree house. It had everything you need. The electric blankets were a lovely warm surprise. The beds were comfy and beautiful. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need.

It was not beachfront. The house was quite dark and the decor busy and historic.

Very good location wonderful old world home, very comfortable. Erna was a very attentive host.

Our host was really kind, friendly and sweet. However, I felt that especially the bathroom and kitchen could’ve been more clean, since one pays for accommodation you expect some effort for the place to be noticeably clean. Also it had a very musty smell throughout our stay, which was rather unpleasant.
