SeePark Hotel Murten

The location is very quiet, at the border of an agricultural/residential zone, next to the path along the Lake, that leads to the center of the town. The room size, furniture, and bedding were of decent quality. AC was working, and it was also possible to open the windows. It was a restful stop during the trip; the parking on the premises is convenient and has both, indoor and outdoor parking spaces.

Cleanliness has room for significant improvement. The suite had a kitchenette, but the freezer section in the refrigerator was not cleaned or defrosted for months, and some packaged food was left by prior guests, frozen into the layer of ice. Although the room was generally clean and the bedding was crisp, the bathroom cleanliness was below the standard for a 4-star hotel; the shower stall and the toilet showed significant signs of use and deposits. Overall, the place will benefit from a management review of cleanliness standards; otherwise, there will be continued flux of mixed reviews, which are true at the time of this review: the place feels like a rundown hotel designed initially as a 4-star property, but lacking proper maintenance for that sort of ranking. These observations would not deter from staying again; hopefully, management will take note and take the needed steps for improvement.

AC works really well and that is a rare gem in Switzerland. Room is clean with everything needed and more. Staff is super friendly I am staying at higher end hotels usually but this one doesn’t deserve the kinda low rating thats why I am giving it a 10.

Great charging infrastructure. Worked well. A gourmet burger bar in the hotel was a nice surprise.

The shower was tiny. There was two sinks, but an extremely cramped shower. It would have been better to have one sink and a proper shower.

The real receptionist had been very nice and helpful when she was present in the afternoon The room has been comfortable. Aircon did work.

Our first time in a robot hotel. We met only 3 real human beings. The hotel does not have 4 stars anymore. The rooftop bar had been a mess, unattended and dirty. The night guard slammed the door at every cigarette break during the whole night. Breakfast had been good but we had to maintain the coffee-machine ourselves.
