Casa de Don Pablo Hostel

The location was perfect! Lots of good food options within walking distance. Bus stop right outside. Felt very safe even as a female travelling alone. The atmosphere of the entire hostel is very relaxing and the setting is beautiful. I loved sitting in the courtyard and eating my meals. The rooftop terrace was wonderful to spend some time on at the end of the day. Beautiful views. I really felt like a family member thanks to the incredibly welcoming and kind staff. Check out was 11am and I still had a decent amount of time so I used the free locker to store my luggage in while I went out for lunch. It was exceptionally clean. I chose to make my own meals and found the kitchen very functional and clean. The 24 hour front desk was very convenient, especially for a late check-in like mine. For my first hostel experience, I really got lucky. This isn’t your typical young traveller party hostel and that was a major requirement for me. There’s still lots of fun to be had, while still having a quiet space to sleep and stay asleep. And speaking of sleep I found my bed extremely comfortable. As my experiences in Oaxaca have been fairly noisy, I was blown away at how quiet Don Pablo was. I am already looking to book here again.

It would be great to have some sort of discount for longer stays. To my knowledge the fee is the same for a few nights as it is for 2+ weeks.

Friendly, super central, clean

This rambling old structure was full of charm and period details. With a terrace, reading room and game room it was a chill place to relax in any season. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the location was great. The room was spacious and comfortable. I particularly appreciated the coffee-maker.

I don't watch TV on holiday so it's absence didn't bother me.

La posizione è molto centrale, la struttura abbastanza silenziosa, il personale cortese. C’è una piccola corte molto bella, con piante e tavoli per potersi rilassare. Abbiamo avuto la fortuna che gli altri ospiti sono stati silenziosi negli spazi comuni che circondano le stanze.

Per accedere alla struttura bisogna ogni volta che qualcuno dall’interno apra, il suono del campanello potrebbe disturbare le camere vicine. Il bagno un disastro, i rubinetti del lavandino perdono acqua, dopo aver fatto la doccia ci si trova acqua in tutto il bagno. Stanza illuminata a giorno anche di notte. Ci sono due piccoli lucernari con vetrocemento dai quali entra la luce, ma soprattutto non c’è privacy se qualcuno è sul tetto. Abbiamo visto al mattino presto delle persone camminavano sul tetto.
