The Duke Rooms London

The manager was absolutely wonderful. As a solo traveller, he went out of his way to make me feel welcome and to ensure I had a really special stay. The property was perfectly located for my travel plans, but what really made the stay memorable was the manager himself. He clearly puts so much into keeping the pub at the heart of the local community, and it was lovely to see the warmth between him and the people around him. I was made to feel incredibly welcome and was even introduced to some of the local community, which made the evening feel very special. Nothing was too much trouble, and he even made sure I was able to have a hot meal. He is an exceptionally kind and generous gentleman who turned what could simply have been a hotel stopover into something far more special. He created a memorable evening that I will cherish for a very long time.

absolutely nothing.

Location is great! Fantastic shower!

Cleanliness with a lot of room for improvement. Bed lights not working. TV remote control not working due to exhausted batteries.

Staff friendly and accommodating, managed to change room to a lower floor

Hand rail was loose on the stairs which made it hard for older relative

The location was good just 15 minutes from Paddington station but that is the only good thing about it.

We had two rooms neither of which were clean. There were layers of dust everywhere and it was clear the rooms hadn't been thoroughly cleaned for some time. The toilets were also disgusting and we had to wipe these down before we felt comfortable using them. One of the shower trays was blocked so the water didn't run away. Also the wooden banister going up the stairs was hanging off. A health and safety issue going on right there!! We were let down badly by booking.com cancelling our original booking the night before so we had to book somewhere quickly. All around a shoddy experience.
