Ferienweingut Villa Hausmann

The place seems to be a real family business, but of high quality. Perhaps just a guest house, but nicely rennovated, and well-thought through, well-run. Do book the wine-tasting dinner for Friday, comes with an experience! The value for money, I thought, was great. One of my favourte parts was the cozy garden with the nice touches. Breakfast was lovely, good choice. Especially of bread, but then hard to expect different of Germany. Parking on the main street, 2 min walking distance, was free, at least in September. The kitchen with mini-bar options was also very cozy and accommodating. I felt very welcomed and appreciated by the staff. The location was exactly as I needed - hiking distance from Cochem with some lovely wine terraces, a ferry accross from Beilstein.

Not a criticism at all. Just should have trsuted my German about the check-in time, rather than the information in English. As civilized people at a guest house, the owners/staff take some time off for a couple of hours in the afternoon, just make sure you get that right.

Nichts.
