The location! City centre right around the corner as well as the oldest pubs in Derby. The room and bathroom were a good size, bed was comfortable. The shared kitchenette with toast and cereals for breakfast was great. Exceptional value!
The wifi was not great. There are a lot of stairs up to the rooms which could be an issue for some people, especially with luggage.

The separation from the pub was good as it meant it wasnt loud at all. The shower was decent. The kitchenette was well stocked and the person who cleaned my room brought me in a hot chocolate to replace the one I used which i didn't expect. The location was really convenient, less than 10 mins away from the city centre and about 15 mins away from my uni campus.
The keys were very difficult to use, I had to ask a member of staff to open the front door once and even had a member of the public help open the door when he noticed I was struggling. I also struggled a lot with the door lock to my room. This could've just been a me issue but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Excellent stay, can't beat it for the price. Central location. Walking distance to main shopping areas, cheap and cheerful.
Room, location, staff.
