Golden Cross Guesthouse

It is in a central location. Right in the middle of Oxford town centre. The host was lovely and let us leave our bags early which was really helpful. The place is clean and tidy and great for a night or two.

It is great if there are two of you but there was three of us as our daughter stayed on the sofa bed in the lounge but the bathroom and toilet is through the main bedroom so not ideal for sharing.

Tina, the host, is incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, always happy to assist and quick to respond to any request. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, beautifully furnished, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay: hairdryer, drying rack, towels, iron, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishes and cookware, washing machine, sofa bed, heating, toiletries, and excellent Wi-Fi. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the city centre, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, cafés, bookstores, bus stops, and the train station. Despite its central location, the area is quiet and peaceful at night, making it easy to enjoy a truly restful and pleasant sleep. Overall, a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend it!

A delightful apartment and location taking me back in time to Shakespearian England - loved the beams. Best bed I've had in a long time. Great location withthe courtyard below and localpeople most helpful. The owner and family really were good getting me to and fro.

As I am elderly and infirm, the steps up were the only drawback but I managed again with help

Location is very central - very convenient. Bed was comfortable and the flat was spacious

The Shower was broken and there was no hot water. The flat is pretty run down - prolapsed floor needs major renovation
